Providing Joy and Meaning for Florida Seniors

Janice Goldman holding her new Shabbos candles, compliments of TOP!
Janice was born in 1947 in the Bronx. After graduating high school, she became a secretary and model for a clothing company in New York City. She was married soon after high school and had twochildren and three grandchildren. Janice came to Florida together with her children when she was 55 years old in order to be closer to her parents. Her mother passed away four years ago at the age of 92 and her father passed away five years ago at the age of 97. When we learned about the Brachos for Friday night candle lighting and Kiddush, Janice knew the Bracha for candles perfectly and Borei Pri Hagafen. I asked her how she knew these Brachos; she said that my class reminded her of her home growing up and her parents teaching her to make Brachos!
