Classes
Our classes are based around the calendar year, including holidays, Shabbosim, and special days in Jewish history. In addition, our classes promote Jewish pride, and the miracle of the Jewish people. Many Torah principles that are taught are practical life lessons that all people can relate to such as guarding your tongue from slander, kindness, Shabbos Candles and Holiday celebrations. We emphasize the Torah’s perspective and obligation towards the elderly, which is one of respect, honor, and pride. Our presentations take the form of multi-media videos, discussions, lectures, and guest speakers.

Resources & Guidance
The purpose of our classes is to inspire our participants to improve their lives at no matter what stage of life they are. To this end, we provide Mezuzas, Kosher shavers, and Yartzheit candles to our participants. Additionally, TOP encourages and advises seniors to find proper care in dealing with family members, and improving their quality of life in all aspects. This includes end-of-life issues and decisions in finding resources for proper burials that are according to Jewish law. This is accomplished through education, fundraising, and working with our partners, Neshama funeral home and The Jewish cemetery of South Florida. Unfortunately, cremation is a choice for many due to financial reasons - a proper funeral and burial can be costly. After spending time educating our participants, the surviving relatives may remain resistant because of the expense. We have been able to raise the funds to stop multiple cremations in order to provide proper Jewish burials.

Shabbos care packages
Each week, with the help of students from Sha’arei Bina Torah Academy for Girls, Yeshiva Toras Chaim, and NCSY, we deliver 85 individual packages complete with 2 mini Challos, a small bottle of grape juice, Kosher electric candles, a Kiddush cup, and a weekly newsletter containing an outline of the Parsha, and a D’var Torah. These bags are delivered by young volunteers who imbue the seniors with the spirit of Shabbos, camaraderie, and singing! The most beautiful part of the Friday delivery experience is the look of pure joy on the faces of the seniors when the teens come to visit. In addition to the Shabbos bags, before each Holiday, TOP partners up with Rose of Sharon to distribute 200 roses to senior citizens.
